A. Here is great thought to ponder. EDUCATION IS THE FOUNDATION OF SUCCESS. Educators need to provide opportunities for children to grow academically and individually. However, it is not the sole responsibility of teachers to “take care of business”. Parents need to understand the importance of their role in this process. In order, to achieve our goals parents must be willing to help provide support, encouragement and motivation for your child. The following is a list of a few things we will to do to provide opportunities for growth this academic year:

Leopard Paw Program for 6th Grade
A student can earn a Leopard Paw by following the 6th grade mission statement. In addition to following RAMP, a student can earn a paw any of the following ways:
· Leadership
· Exceptional conduct throughout school
· Being honest/trustworthy
· “Extraordinary” effort
· Academic Achievement in a class. Determined by teacher but could be A or B on test/quiz/project.
· AR points – if students meet their 9-week goal they will earn 5 Leopard Paws. Students can earn maximum of 5 additional Paws by going beyond goal.
· Perfect Weekly Attendance – Students can earn additional Paws just by being in school every day of week.
Goals:
Students can earn paws in any class. Students are encouraged to earn 50 Paws for each 9 weeks and students will earn a reward at 25 Paws.
Recognition Opportunities:
a. Nine week rewards for top boys and girls in each community.
b. Leopard Pride Breakfast once a 9-week period for students achieving Leopard Paw goal
c. Honor’s Assembly Recognition
